“Being a part of a great family oriented organization has been a true blessing. THE ARMORY has filled my needs for my day-to-day access to a prominent doctor, and being able to use a top-tier facility that offers all of the amenities that I need for my youth sports program. Doctor Shawn has been an amazing resource for me and family. I can't thank him enough for what he has done for my blood pressure issues as he fixed it by me just following his plans to manage it. We are just getting started, the future is bright for our community.”

Why THE ARMORY
Most practices run on insurance billing and packed schedules, which means short visits and weeks to get in. We run on memberships and transparent, up-front pricing instead, so you get longer visits, real time with your provider, and clear costs, whether you become a member or pay as you go for a single service.
Longer appointments with a provider who builds a real relationship with you and cares about your health, not just your chart.
Reach your medical care team directly by phone, email, or text when something comes up, no phone-tree runaround.
Membership and visit prices up front. No billing codes, no surprise bills.

Patient stories
“Hands down the most caring staff I have ever met in a medical facility. They took the time to understand my issues and concerns and I never felt rushed like I have at other places. The staff is friendly and welcoming and takes the time to get to know you as a person as well as a patient. I really can't say enough good things and I have been encouraging others to take advantage of their annual wellness plan. It's an incredible value.”

“Doctor Bailey and his staff were awesome and spent plenty of time with me. No more sitting in waiting rooms for two hours. I did all the testing for the most precise physical I have ever had, and it was my wake-up call. I was in bad health and already feel better.”

Performance Medicine Physician • Owner • CEO
Physician, engineer, and founder of THE ARMORY. Dr. Bailey earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and his M.D. from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. After completing his Internal Medicine residency at Riverside Hospital in 2004, he and Meredith launched their first practice, Hayden Run Internal Medicine, which has since evolved into THE ARMORY, a comprehensive health, fitness, and performance facility dedicated to delivering integrated, evidence-based care.

Internal & Sports Medicine Physician
Dr. Jacko brings more than 35 years of medicine to THE ARMORY, with training in internal medicine and sports medicine and a career centered on performance, hormones, and men's health. He completed his internal medicine residency at Mount Carmel in Columbus and a sports medicine fellowship at the Hughston Clinic, and has practiced at leading performance and preventive medicine institutions throughout his career. His approach is calm, thorough, and evidence-based, helping patients optimize how they feel and perform through data-driven, personalized care.

Family Nurse Practitioner
Rebecca McClain, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner who has cared for Columbus families here for more than a decade. She built her practice around access and relationships: longer visits, direct messaging with your provider, and unhurried care that treats the whole person, not a single complaint. Her care connects primary care with performance medicine, testing, and recovery, so everything works together under one roof. Rebecca meets you where you are and stays with you for the long run.
From our members
“We got assigned to Rebecca, and it was a perfect match for me and my husband. She’s relatable, she takes the time to listen, she cares — and she’s wicked smart. She motivated me to take the next step in my health journey. I lost about 50 pounds, and at 46, I’m in a good place.”
“Where else can you go and have an hour to yourself with a healthcare professional? There’s no judgment here, and what you have access to is incredible — truly head to toe. You get clear, direct goals and a path, and that’s been critical for me. It’s a gift.”
“I’ve been a patient of Dr. Bailey’s for going on 20 years. I played college football, and at 22 I was diagnosed with MS — Dr. Bailey and Rebecca have been great every step of the way. I was one of the first members to sign up, and now I bring my daughter here too. You need to be around like-minded people with the same drive.”
Questions
We do not bill insurance. That is how we keep visits unhurried and pricing clear, so you see the cost up front, with no billing codes or surprise bills. Labs are the one place insurance can come into play: you can pay us directly at our discounted member rate, or run them through your insurance instead, in which case your plan sets the price and member pricing does not apply.
No. You can book a single visit to see a provider for a specific concern. A single visit covers that concern and reasonable follow-up for that visit only. It does not include ongoing access to the medical care team, so a new problem, more complex follow-up, or prescription refills would mean another visit; that ongoing access is what the membership provides. Many people start with a single visit, then join once they see how we work, and your first visit applies toward your first month if you do.
Unlimited visits with your full medical care team (physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, registered dietitians, and exercise physiologists), direct messaging and remote access, and prevention and chronic care managed over time. DEXA body composition, DEXA bone density, resting metabolic rate, and VO2 max testing are included at no extra cost, as are nutrition consults with a registered dietitian. You also get 50% off IV therapy and member pricing on self-pay labs, physical therapy, and home sleep testing.
Membership is $199 a month, or $1,999 a year. A single new-patient visit is $225 with a nurse practitioner or $275 with a physician.
880 Kinnear Road, Columbus, Ohio. The facility is open and staffed 24/7.
You can cancel your membership anytime, once any minimum commitment for your plan is complete. To avoid your next charge, submit your cancellation before your next billing (renewal) date. Canceling stops future billing, but it does not refund a payment that has already been processed. If you cancel on or after your billing date, that cycle has already been charged and is not refundable, and you keep access for the rest of that paid period. For example, if your membership renews on the first of the month, cancel on or before the last day of the previous month to avoid the next charge. There are no partial or prorated refunds. Annual plans are paid in full up front for twelve months and are non-refundable; they renew automatically each year unless you cancel before the renewal date.
