The math

A flat monthly fee, not a stack of bills.

One membership covers your primary care. Traditional insurance-based care adds copays, urgent-care bills, and retail lab pricing on top of your premium. Here is how the two compare.

THE ARMORY direct primary care
Traditional insurance-based primary care
What you pay
$199 a month, flat. Everything below included.
Premium, plus copays and a deductible to meet.

A copay each visit, often $25 to $50.
Time with your provider
Longer, unhurried appointments.
Often 15 minutes or less.
Reaching your team
Direct messaging and remote access to your medical care team.
Phone tree and portal, often days for a reply.
Urgent needs
Same team you already know, no urgent-care copay.
Urgent care, typically $80 to $280 a visit.
Labs and testing
Transparent member pricing on labs. DEXA, RMR, and VO2 max included.
Retail lab pricing, often billed weeks later.
Billing
No insurance billing and no surprise bills.
Billing codes, claims, and surprise bills.

Traditional figures are typical ranges for illustration, not a quote, and vary by plan and provider. Direct primary care works alongside insurance for emergencies, hospital care, and specialists.

As Medical Director, she leads a team that connects primary care with performance medicine, testing, and recovery, so everything works together under one roof. Rebecca meets you where you are and stays with you for the long run.

Patient stories

A relationship that lasts.

The whole atmosphere, from the staff to the facility, at THE ARMORY is welcoming and calming. Everyone is pleasant and no matter who you see, whether it be Dr. Bailey or any others on staff, they all take the time to answer your questions and concerns. I recently had an elbow issue and Dr. Bailey offered 3 different treatment options. I took advantage of the physical therapy, which incorporated dry needling and targeted exercises, and I no longer have any pain. This is an option that is not offered anywhere else that I know of. Dr. Bailey is a proponent of staying active and healthy eating and definitely practices what he preaches which is very motivational even for a senior like me.

Susan · Member

We were among Dr. Bailey's earliest patients at the beginning of his practice. We've always been impressed by his caring demeanor and the staff he surrounds himself with, but also with his emphasis on health as a whole and not just treating our sickness, although he has always done a great job of that.

Brenda & Terry · Members

Dr. McClain is the best. Even answers emails on Saturday.

Direct primary care vs concierge

Concierge-level care, without the country club.

People often ask if this is concierge medicine. You get what makes concierge appealing, a doctor who knows you, direct access, and unhurried time, without the country-club price. We are direct primary care, built to be excellent and responsive for everyone, not only for the wealthy. And because we are also a performance medicine practice, you get so much more than primary care: advanced testing, hormones, weight loss, nutrition, physical therapy, and recovery, all under one roof.

Questions

Good to know.

No, we do not bill insurance. That is how we keep visits unhurried and pricing clear, with the cost shown up front and no surprise bills.

No. You can book a single visit for a specific concern. A new-patient visit is $225 with a nurse practitioner or $275 with a physician. Many people start there, then join.

Unlimited visits with your full medical care team, direct messaging and remote access, and prevention and chronic care managed over time. DEXA body composition, DEXA bone density, resting metabolic rate, and VO2 max testing are included at no extra cost, plus member pricing on labs, physical therapy, and home sleep testing. Membership is $199 a month or $1,999 a year.

Yes. Direct primary care is built to be your medical home for everyday and preventive care, and we coordinate labs, specialists, and referrals when you need them.

Your medical care team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, registered dietitians, and exercise physiologists, all working together on your care, so you are never limited to one provider.

You can cancel your membership anytime, once any minimum commitment for your plan is complete. To avoid your next charge, submit your cancellation before your next billing (renewal) date. Canceling stops future billing, but it does not refund a payment that has already been processed. If you cancel on or after your billing date, that cycle has already been charged and is not refundable, and you keep access for the rest of that paid period. For example, if your membership renews on the first of the month, cancel on or before the last day of the previous month to avoid the next charge. There are no partial or prorated refunds. Annual plans are paid in full up front for twelve months and are non-refundable; they renew automatically each year unless you cancel before the renewal date.

Care that knows you.

Included with or discounted by membership. Your first visit applies toward your first month when you join within 30 days.
